QUICK BURGER


Most grains, like wheat and oats, have a hard outer layer. When they are processed, this layer becomes a byproduct, and is called bran. In the case of processing wheat to make wheat flour, one gets miller’s or wheat bran. It is packed with nutrition, and offers many dietary benefits.

Ingredients
  • 200 g ground beef, 10%
  • 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp grated onion
  • 1 tbsp wheat bran
  • 1/2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 dl mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 2 slices bread, à 25 g
  • 2 slices lean salami sausage
 
Serve with:
Mixed salad or coleslaw
 
Method
  1. Preheat the oven to 225 °C.
  2. Mix the minced meat with spices, onion, wheat bran, egg and half of the cheese.
  3. Spread the minced meat in an even layer on the bread slices, cover with salami and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  4. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
