Ingredients
- 3 dl beans, your choice
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2-3 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 can (400 g) chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp coffee powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp oregano
- 16 hard taco shells
Method
- Sauté the onion, garlic and bell pepper until almost soft in a saucepan.
- Stir in the chili powder and cumin and let it fry for 4-5 minutes.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, coffee, sugar, oregano and simmer for approx. 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Mix in the beans at the last minute, then season with salt and pepper.
- Serve with hard taco shells or a mixed salad.
