Ingredients
- 5 dl onions, chopped onions
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 500 g tomatoes
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 10 red chilies
- 10 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp grated ginger
- 4 cardamom (only the seeds)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 5 tbsp oil
Method
- Grind the red chilies with 1/2 of the ginger, garlic, mustard, cumin and mustard.
- Mix this with the vinegar and make it to a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown.
- Add the tomatoes and fry for few minutes.
- Then add the ground spice paste and mix well.
- Add the remaining spices and fry until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Remove from fire and let it cool completely.
- Store in an airtight container and freeze if you are not using everything.
